A Cumberland County story

Bryan grew up in Cumberland County and graduated from Pine Forest High School in 1994. He never left. He and his family have built a life here, and both of his sons went through Cumberland County Schools — one graduated in 2026, and the other starts at Terry Sanford this fall.

For more than twenty years, Bryan has worked as a real estate agent, helping families buy and sell homes across the county. He is also the owner and founder of The Wing Company. That work has given him an unusual vantage point on public education: every family considering a move here asks the same question first, and it isn’t about the housing stock. It’s how are the schools?

In the building, not just around it

Bryan serves as president of the Terry Sanford Athletic Booster Club. That means years of Friday nights, fundraising, equipment budgets, and time spent alongside coaches, teachers, and parents. He has been in these schools as a volunteer and as a parent — not as an administrator, and not as a candidate.

He is not an educator, and he doesn’t claim to be. The board’s job isn’t to teach. It’s to listen to the people who do, and to make sure they have what they need.

Why now

Bryan ran for the Board of Education in 2024 and came up short. He didn’t stop showing up afterward — same games, same booster meetings, same schools. In 2026 he is running county-wide, for one of three at-large seats, on the same reasons that brought him out the first time: restoring confidence in local public education, and making sure every student has a clear path to what comes next — whether that’s college, military service, or a skilled trade.
